Our production processes are described in detail in our Quality Manual. This makes for much transparency and means that our processes can be tracked and checked, which is, of course, what you need if you want top quality and product safety.
The quality management of our sites are certified on a regular basis according to International Featured Standards (IFS) Food. The actual certification was carried out according to version 6. Our QM department is headed by a senior manager and reports to the competent managing director.
The team members are qualified staff - from lab assistants to chemists with a doctorate - and run their own quality tests at all production plants. We also cooperate with independent, certified laboratories, which also helps to assure out top quality standard.
Every single step in our production processes is monitored. This starts with the selection of our suppliers, with whom we establish trusting relationships that are to last many years. We require these suppliers to work in accordance with internationally recognised quality standards like ISO 9001, IFS or HACCP and be certified accordingly. We also audit them on a regular basis and talk to them about our quality standards, which, in form of detailed specifications, are an integral part of all our supply agreements.
Strict incoming lot controls ensure that we only use supplies that do indeed meet these high quality standards. An important part is the identity check, which ensures that the goods that have been supplied meet the specifications. Our suppliers’ analyses are cross-checked by running internal and external laboratory tests as well.
